Who are we?

At Young Peacebuilders, we are devoted to helping young people become more effective peacebuilders. There are so many children and youth growing up in conflicted contexts and suffering from violence, exploitation, disease, and loss of education. At the same time, these young people represent hope and opportunity for a more peaceful and prosperous future. Evidence shows that they can play a key role in breaking cycles of violence and building lasting peace in their communities. It is not easy; children and youth encounter many roadblocks as they pursue peace. Therefore, it is our mission to help remove these roadblocks by developing environments in which young people's peacebuilding potential is maximized, and to build bridges, in the form of quality child and youth peacebuilding tools, projects, research, and partnerships that support more child and youth peacebuilders and increases their impact.
